Swami Kriyananda’s Discipleship Anniversary 2016

“Kriya Yoga in action is the name Swami Kriyananda chose for himself: joy through Kriya, joy through action. We are that crowd of souls that were drawn to Master through Swami Kriyananda’s discipleship. What are the qualities of Swami’s discipleship? Humility and lack of any sense of importance—the constant thought that this life is not meant to be lived solely for one’s own spiritual advancement, but also in service to others. He also showed deep loyalty and dedication to our Guru and his teachings, never wavering from that. There was not one of Swami’s talks that didn’t express the utmost dedication to Master and his teachings. He was trying to show us that although there are many paths, to advance spiritually you have to find one, and keep going with it deeper and deeper: This is the way to spiritual freedom.

“Most important of all was Swami’s love of Master and how he transferred that love to us. All these qualities were motivated by love offered from the depth of his being to Guru. He instilled that love in each of us. And now we can share it with those who come to us.
